So as I said I am a nanny. For anyone who knew me growing up, seeing me as a full time babysitter is funny to think about. I never liked or had the desire to babysit when I was younger. I think I only ever did it once or twice.
.... But.....
Now I pretty much love it! I am a live-in nanny. I watch two beautiful girls, Jenna and Baby Cora. They are my second cousins. I do everything from, waking them up in the morning, feeding them breakfast, lunch and a snack, change diapers (many many diapers), and all the other fun things that come with babysitting and mother hood.
The days are long sometimes, but the experience is amazing. I have learned a lot about myself, where my strengths and weaknesses are, that I can do this, and most definately I have gained lots of patience, and am still gaining more. Although there are times when I wonder why in the world I chose to do this, but I wouldn't trade it for anything!
The most common question I am asked when people hear I am a nanny is... "Does it make you excited to be a mom or not so much?"
Answer to that: well there are parts and times where I don't want to be a mom so much, but overall without a doubt it makes me way excited to be a mom!!
Anything that you do in life, from parenthood, to your job, there are parts that you don't want to do, but you have to. That is just part of life!

I see you're letting us make comments now :-). I'm glad you have a blog. And keep posting pictures of the girls, I don't get any from Lorinda anymore!
Before I had Dillon, there's no way I could've or would've done what you do. In many ways it's harder to be a nanny than the parent (that's my opinion). Fun to see your blog and I can't wait to hear what you're up to!
